January 1998

We became involved in the Scout movement in January 1998 and pledged, subject to certain conditions, to fund the movement with £4,500 over 3 years.

The Programme agreed as under:-

Gipsyville initiative actually paid to them £3,000.

It became clear from 1999 that the programme agreed was unlikely to be met and the last payment was diverted to assist individual applications from the local cubs, guides and scout troops.

We are pleased to have helped many clubs, particularly, those who have suffered from burglary, theft and vandalism, and will continue to do so.

Amongst those helped were the following:-

Jan. 99 Tilbury Scouts £100 (theft)
Feb. 02 The Guide Association
(Holy Name Guides) £1,250 (theft & vandalism)
Aug 05 Hessle Scouts £200 (theft)
Mar 2012 Willerby Scouts £500 (towards roof repairs)

We were delighted to help and invite applications for support from  organisations with similar difficulties.
